Black Gold

We have not gotten picts up yet for you all to look at...hope to soon because they are so fun to look at. ;o)

This week has been a busy one for us. We helped put on a coffee event at Mosaic that showed the documentary "Black Gold" on coffee, the second most traded commodity in the world. This documentary brings light to the unfair prices that coffee farmers in 3rd world countries are being paid. Not even enough to have food, clothing, or education for them and their families. This is a serious issue and we want to make sure that the coffee we are buying is fair wage or fair trade coffee.

Mark and I have a desire and a heart to see "justice" for people that are not being treated fairly. Hopefully that through our lives, gifts, and our pursuit of this coffee shop dream we can help bring justice to those out there here and around the world that are being treated unjustly.

If you want to watch the movie trailer of "Black Gold" check out the link to the right of our blog on Youtube.
